Sanctuary

Hidden away in the Dandenong Ranges, nested amongst the great gum trees sits William Ricketts Sanctuary. A truly unique environment.

A place for quiet reflection. Where once William lived and his passion consumed his every day.

His love for his country is showcased for all to see. The aboriginal culture and nature are perfectly entwined within his sculptures. Which themselves are embedded into the landscape.

It is a special place, one that I visited many times over the years. Each time It brings a great sense of tranquility and thoughtfulness and I hope in some way this short video relays this to you.
